Texas A&M’s offense looks legit, but it’ll have its most difficult test in Week 3 against No. 8 Notre Dame.
The Aggies, ranked No. 16 now, have scored at least 40 points in back-to-back weeks. Marcel Reed has thrown at least 220 yards in both games, connecting with sophomore wide receiver Mario Craver for a total of 236 yards and three touchdowns.
It’s an impressive start, but this will be the Aggies’ first ranked opponent of the season. They defeated UTSA and Utah State to kick off the 2025 season and will now have Notre Dame and No. 24 Auburn in back-to-back weeks.
The Fighting Irish have only played one game thus far, losing to No. 10 Miami 27-24. The Hurricanes have since improved to the fifth ranked team in the country.
Notre Dame needs to win this home game against Texas A&M in order to avoid starting the season 0-2. With only 12 regular season games, any loss could be a major red flag on when in postseason consideration.
