A cross-country matchup will pit two talented volleyball programs against each other this week as Mater Dei travels to Florida to take on Trinity Catholic.
Mater Dei is a modern volleyball dynasty in Southern California. The Monarchs won back-to-back CIF Southern Section Division 1 championships in 2023 and 2024, and the squad will look to pull off a three-peat this fall.
Trinity Catholic also had a successful run in 2024, advancing all the way to the Florida state championship match but ultimately falling to Westminster Christian, 3-1. The Celtics will surely be seeking to finish the job this season.
