The Buffalo Bills announced their initial 16-man practice squad on Wednesday.
Neither Zach Davidson nor KJ Hamler were on it.
Both players were cut on Tuesday as the Bills trimmed their roster to the initial 53-man group needed to begin the regular season.
Both players had become fan favorites on the show Hard Knocks.
Neither will even stick with Buffalo as a practice player heading into Week 1, at least as of this moment.

Davidson was the player who was tangled up with Shilo Sanders to prompt a punch from Deion’s son that earned an ejection for the Buccaneers’ undrafted rookie (who was later cut himself).
The tight end also stood in as the Bills’ punter, kicking blasts of 62 and 42 yards.
Hamler stole the hearts of Bills Mafia with a youthful joy in multiple on-camera moments, from upgrading from a small scooter to a full-size, high-octane scooter to catching a touchdown in the preseason opener. He’s come back from multiple brutal injuries and was trying to return to an NFL regular season field this fall.
The Bills could still do some further roster movement to keep these guys around.

For now, though, they’ve been passed up in favor of others.
That could lead to the pair winding up in different uniforms. Both have provided other teams with reasons to be interested in them.
At the moment, it’s wait and see for Davidson and Hamler, who surely would love to know their next football home sooner rather than later.
