Former Detroit Lions quarterback Hendon Hooker is officially getting a change of scenery.

According to Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer, Hooker has signed with the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad after clearing waivers on Wednesday afternoon.

Hooker was cut by the Lions on Tuesday after two seasons with the team. Hooker was in competition for the backup quarterback job behind Jared Goff but lost out to Kyle Allen.
