Vince McMahon just celebrated a milestone birthday in high style.
The former WWE boss threw himself a lavish party in honor of his 80th birthday with several WWE superstars. According to “Page Six,” McMahon’s birthday bash went down in New York City at midtown’s swanky Baccarat Hotel and Gotham Hall.
The star-studded guest list included WWE stars John Cena, The Undertaker, wrestling great Michelle McCool, 90s favorite Sgt. Slaughter, squared circle great Kane and McMahon’s son and fellow WWE exec Shane, per the outlet. Singer Kid Rock also reportedly made an appearance.
McMahon has maintained a fairly quiet lifestyle in recent months.
The former WWE boss resigned from the professional wrestling world in January 2024 after a former WWE employee filed a lawsuit against him with accusations of sexual assault. According to the “Wall Street Journal,” McMahon allegedly lured her with promises of career advancement, and then exploited and trafficked her to other men inside the company.
In the months following his resignation, McMahon has sold off his remaining stocks in TKO, severing his financial and ownership ties to the company he was at the helm of for more than four decades.
McMahon started out in the wrestling world as a ring announcer back in 1969. He later worked his way up through the ranks as a play-by-play commentator, moving on to become the evil Mr. McMahon authority figure showcased on the main stage.
Behind the scenes, McMahon helped out on the creative team, shaping the WWE into what it’s become today.
McMahon is a third-generation wrestling promoter. He grew up in a trailer park in North Carolina before he joined his father’s small wrestling company in the 1970s.
He’s built an empire worth $3.4 million, according to Forbes.
